Weddings

Sarah Clarke is an actor, writer, director and photographer living in Melbourne.

 

A graduate of the full-time program at the Howard Fine Acting Studio Australia, she also holds an Advanced Diploma Arts (acting) and an ATCL from the Trinity College of London.

 

Sarah has been training and working as an artist in Melbourne for the last six years, after moving from Brisbane, and has performed in theatre productions, educational tours, Shakespeare, children’s theatre, web series, short and feature length films. As a co-founder of independent theatre company North of Eight (2016-present) and a company member at Wit Incorporated (2016-2019), she’s also run the full gamut of theatre-production roles, including acting, directing, lighting and sound operation, design, photography, PR, marketing and social media.

 

After a month long stay at Arteles Creative Centre in Finland where she completed a writing residency, she created her first web series, JB, I Love You! in partnership with F Word Films. She also completed a writing residency at Footscray Arts Box thanks to the City of Maribyrnong in 2019.  

 

Her first play Semi Charmed, premiered at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2015, and other performance credits include: Complete Works Theatre Company (2018-20), Due West Festival (2017), JB, I love you (web series, 2017), Brisbane Anywhere Theatre Festival, (2016, 2013), Melbourne International Comedy Festival (2016), Melbourne Fringe Festival (2018, 2015), Adelaide Fringe Festival (2013) and FAST at La Boite (2012).

 

Directing credits include: Bombshells (Wit Incorporated, 2018), Killing the Duck (Key Conspirators 2019) and Resilient Lotus (Key Conspirators 2018).

Photography is a late addition to her arts practise, having purchased a camera at the Adelaide Fringe Festival on a whim in 2017. Since then, she has photographed events, theatre, families, weddings and had become a respected headshot photographer, specialising in character shots for actors. 

 

Sarah is committed to creating with and for the LGBTQI+ community and is a proud member of MEAA.
